I tried out a new yarn for the hair ties and I think they turned out really well. Jordan is modeling them for me and she insisted that all of them needed to be worn at once. I used the Moda Dea Dream yarn and the Ruffle Rose pattern from Nicki Epstein's book Crocheted Flowers. (page 74 in the book) When you're done crocheting the flower roll it into a spiral and sew the layers together. For the clips I cut two slits in the felt backing before sewing it to the flower, then slipped the clip between the slits. For the hair tie I sewed the felt backing on first then sewed the hair tie to the felt securely.
