Pappa Al Pomidoro Recipe


We were watching the Food Network the other night, more for entertainment than to actually learn how to cook, but Ina Garten was making a soup called Pappa Al Pomidoro that made my mouth water so much that I made Ray find the recipe on the internet so I could make it that night.  It's chunky texture and crunchy toppings of ciabatta bread baked with pancetta and basil leaves makes this soup irresistible.  I've never eaten crisp basil leaves but it's really a quite unexpected texture for basil and very good.  This will be great to make on a chilly winter night this fall.
