Pumpkin Drop Cookies....for the dogs!

Pumpkin Cookie 2

I was just at Target and saw a silicon bite-size brownie mold on sale so I thought it would be perfect for making bite-size dog treats and a good excuse to try out a recipe for Pumpkin Drop Cookies from the You Bake 'Em Dog Biscut Cookbook by Janine Adams.  My dogs are big fans of cookies in general so to make them myself is not only easy but gives them something a little extra special for their 8:00 treat-time.

The Doc (who happens to be my dad and a vet for the past 40 years) says that canned pumpkin is great if your pet has an upset stomach (do not used pumpkin pie filling) and is rich in fiber so it helps with constipation or diarrhea. Plus, it just tastes good, especially in cookies!
