Last Sunday was the perfect fall day to go down to the park and go for a walk in the creek. It's quite, peaceful, and it makes me feel like I'm in my own little world away from everyone just taking a walk with the dogs. The creek is great for exploring and usually Hazel leads the way, just jumping into the water to go see what is on the other side. Ernie takes his time because he is 14 after all and he doesn't like to get wet. But they all love to hunt and sniff, and considering Hazel caught a mouse in the kitchen the other night I think she was looking to do some more hunting. Usually at this time of the year we can walk about a 1/4 mile down the creek bed, but after the rain we had this week I doubt we'll do it again until next summer. Hopefully Foyle will be able to join us then, keep your fingers crossed!
