Happy New Year to all my blog friends! We had a wonderful evening with friends last night and are relaxing today and lounging around the house because tomorrow it is back to reality once again after this long vacation. Like most people I've been reflecting on the past year and setting new goals, not necessarily resolutions because they don't last long, but realistic goals that I want to accomplish with the dogs and in my personal life this year.
My first goal for the dogs is to keep them mentally active on a daily basis. The hounds are smart and need a job to do so I'm going to push myself to try new training techniques, exercises and games to keep them mentally healthy as they get older. My second goal is to teach them better table manners! Yikes, were they bad at Christmas so I know this is something that we need to work on daily. As for Foyle, I'm just hoping we can keep him healthy and happy this year so he can see his 5th birthday.
As for me, I have so many ideas and things that I want to work on this year, especially for the blog, so I'm going join the Photo 365 Challenge to improve my photography skills. I'm also trying to improve the look and layout of the blog so I'm starting with a fresh look this year that I hope it will improve as the months go on. I've made a big list of DIY projects and ideas that I'll be rolling out this month too, so you can try them out with me and let me know what you think. On a more personal note one of my goals is to run the Tough Mudder in September so I need to kick up my training...right now! I'm also reading more about eating fresh foods in their natural states to improve and prevent diseases so I'm looking forward to cooking more and growing more vegetables this year.
Finally I just want to say thank you for sharing 2012 with me and I hope you'll stay along for the ride in 2013. What is one goal that you want to accomplish this year? Cheers and Happy New Year!
