"Go to shore!"
This is week 54 for the NewfandHound and the Black and White Sunday blog hop! Special thanks to our wonderful hosts, My Life In Blog Years and Dachshund Nola, for taking the time to pull this together for everyone each Sunday. Please see one of their blogs for rules and how to join in!
I was so excited to see the feedback from last week's tip on highlighting a dog's structure while photographing and I hope that was a nice challenge for you this week. Today I wanted to show a picture from yesterday's water trial to show you what Newfandlands were bred to do since I was talking about their structure! This is my friend's boy, 18 month old Land-N, pulling the boat to shore after swimming out about 30' and retrieving the bumper from the caller you see in the front of the boat. It was very exciting because this was his first trial and he performed beautifully, plus he received his Working Dog title yesterday! So proud of the team!
On another note, I noticed that the Australian pet photographer, Charlotte Reeves, posted a video tutorial on YouTube on how to take out color casts from black and white dogs. She has some great tutorials (and I can't wait for more) so check it out!
