Thanks for the photo bomb Aki! We were just leaving the dog park on Sunday morning when this scrappy little terrier came running in all full of energy and wanting to play, and just when I was starting to get some good pictures Aki decides to cut me off and runs right in front of me! "Great" I thought until I looked through my pictures and found this gem where his tail framed the little guy's head perfectly! For this post I decided to show you that while I do make some odd composition choices once in a while, sometimes a mistake becomes one of my favorite pictures. I loved the energy and the intensity this guy had and since our dogs were exhausted from the walk I thought I would spend a few minutes trying to capture some of that energy!
Backing up a bit, on our walk my friend told me about an altercation she had with a woman who wouldn't pick up after her dog in her neighborhood last week. My friend watched as the woman talked on the phone, ignoring her dog completely, and let it go to the bathroom on another person's lawn. Then she just walked away without picking it up. Well, my friend is very diligent about cleaning up after her own dogs so she asked the woman if she was going to pick it up. "No" she replied, and repeated it again after my friend asked if she wanted a bag. Words were exchanged and long story short this woman hit my friend in the face! No kidding! Luckily she didn't hit back but immediately called the police and now this other woman can get a $250 ticket for not picking up after her dog not to mention assault!
So the lesson is: pick up after your dog! Please help keep your neighborhoods clean and your neighbors happy! I found that these cool Pick Up bag carriers from Olly Dog hold up well, snap right on to your leash, and come in very cool patterns!
Have you had any bad experiences with a dog owner not picking up after their dog?
